This is our NBC affiliated station, WCNC. The station is now know by the name NBC6. NBC6 is an affiliate of the NBC television network. They broadcast to Charlotte and surrounding counties in North Carolina and South Carolina. This rapidly growing market is now the 28th largest in the United States.

As well as local programming, NBC6 produces NBC's national overnight news program, Nightside. In addition, we are home to the NBC News Channel. In 1992 WCNC's news team was the winner of the Associated Press' Award for best Newcast.
