- The Gifted and Talented Development Center of Charlotte -
The Gifted and Talented Development Center of Charlotte offers
camps for academically and artistically gifted students of all
ages. This is our eleventh year of programming and last year we
served over 400 campers over seven weeks. Overnight campers in
grades 6 through 10 came from local areas in North Carolina as
well as from other states, including New York, Texas, Alabama,
Kansas, Georgia, Virginia, South Carolina and Florida. The lush,
oak-shaded campus of Queens College, in the heart of Charlotte's
gracious Myers Park neighborhood, is a safe and pleasant setting
for campers. Dormitories and classrooms are all air-conditioned.
Recreational facilities include an indoor swimming pool, sports
fields, and a newly built student center and cafeteria.
