Welcome to my own version of "Field of Dreams". The intention of this website is to provide a database of local information to the residents of Mecklenburg County in North Carolina. Additionally, I wanted to provide links to other websites throughout the world. For example I wanted readers of information about the local "Loc Norman Games" to be able to click on a word and be transported to a server in Scotland where they could get a feel for Scottish culture. Also, I envision college soccer fans throughout the country to be able to click on a word on a Soccer home page anywhere in the country and be transported to our server to get information about the area in planning a trip to the NCAA soccer finals in Davidson. Corporate executives could get information about a possible relocation, or people who have move outside the area could still keep in touch.

What are some of the things you can do with this website?

• Need to know the exact current time? There is no better place the Naval Observatory Atomic Clock.
• Track that package you sent Federal Express or United Parcel Service last night.
• Look up an AT&T 800 number.
• If you are an NPR fan and missed this morning's Morning Edition, you can hear any or all segments over the internet. (You need a sound card and speakers, a special player from Real Audio. Once you download the player read the ReadME file. Some browsers are not compatible, but most are.)
• Need a tax form right away. Download the form you need from the IRS and print it on your laser printer. (You will need to download the Acrobat Reader from Adobe, which will print the PDF formatted files)
• Dissect a frog with out the formaldehyde.
• Read the Mecklenburg Declaration of Independence
• Visit the Whitehouse or send a letter to President Clinton
• What movies are currently playing. Read the reviews.
• Want to see the lyrics to your favorite song. Visit your favorite bands website for tour dates, lyrics, etc.
• Planning a trip to Myrtle Beach? Take a look at this ocean front condo!
• Need a French-English dictionary.
• This is only a sampling of the many things you can do. It is impossible to see every thing because our site has links to other sites and those sites have links to other sites.
